2024 – Stra, Venice, Italy – Villa Pisani

Villa Pisani, located in Stra along the “Riviera del Brenta”, is one of the most representative Venetian villas of the 18th century. Commissioned by the noble Pisani family, its construction began in 1721 under the design of Girolamo Frigimelica and was completed by Francesco Maria Preti. The villa, comprising 114 rooms, was conceived to celebrate the election of Alvise Pisani as Doge and became a symbol of the family’s prestige. Frescoes by Giambattista Tiepolo enrich the decoration of the villa. The monumental park comprises statues, pavilions, a large central pool, and a hedge maze.

In 2024, Expin was commissioned to carry out a diagnostic campaign aimed at the mechanical characterization of the masonry structures, the assessment of the conservation state of the stone elements and of the timber structures of floors in the villa, the stables, and the maze tower.
